EGYPT OF THE PHARAOHS - FROM KHUFU TO RAMSES II

Embark on a temporal adventure to ancient Egypt, a civilization that continues to captivate through its millennia-old masterpieces. David Roberts, in his sketches, testifies to the wonderment before this grandeur, describing visitors as "dwarfs" facing a nation of "giants".

Ancient Egypt unveils its cosmogonic tales, its gods, and its early humans on the walls of the Carrières des Lumières. The Nile, the source of life, guides the traveler through lush fauna and flora, illustrating daily life through ancient bas-reliefs and papyrus. The pyramids, eternal symbols, stand majestically, guarded by the Sphinx, bearing witness to the greatness of pharaohs like Khufu and Hatshepsut.

Temples dedicated to the gods, from Luxor to Abu Simbel, reveal the cultural and spiritual wealth of ancient Egypt, while the Valley of the Kings and Queens unveils the secrets of royal tombs. The journey concludes with an immersion into the afterlife, contemplative under the astronomical ceiling of Dendera.
